Santé mentale au Québec est une revue scientifique qui paraît deux fois par année : au printemps et à l’automne. Elle a pour principal objectif de répondre aux besoins de développement des connaissances de la communauté scientifique, universitaire et clinique. D’orientation psychosociale, elle publie des articles originaux de recherches expérimentales et cliniques, en plus de nombreuses rubriques d’intérêt général. Submitting an article

The journal invites all interested parties to submit articles for the thematic sections or for the Mosaïques section, which contains articles of general interest in mental health. All article must not exceed 5000 words, references and tables included. All evaluation are discussed by the members of the editorial committee.

Quality of the language

The journal places great importance on the quality of the language. It thus requests that submitted articles be grammatically correct and in a style that is accessible to the majority of readers.

Droits de reproduction

The journal reserves all rights for articles that it publishes. However, agreements may be made with authors for publication in other journals or in books.

The journal allows reproduction of articles at no cost for educational purposes. It requires that references be clearly indicated.

Authors’ responsibilities

The author is responsible for opinions that he or she expresses in the journal.

Since the journal publishes only original articles, manuscripts that have been or will be published in other publications cannot be accepted. It is the author’s responsibility to inform the journal of such an eventuality.

Off-prints

The journal gives the author 25 off-prints of his or her article. In the case of articles written by several authors, the authors share the 25 off-prints.

Presentation

Submitted articles must be typed, double-spaced, on a 8 1/2 X 11 paper, on one side only, with lines of a width of 66 characters.

On the first page is the title of the article only. On the second page is the title of the article and the name(s) of the author(s) ; at the bottom of this page is the profession and work place of the author(s). A 300 words abstract of the article appears on a separate page.

Quotations are identified and single-spaced, and are followed by a reference in parentheses as follows : (last name, year of publication, page), for example, (Bouthillier, 1980, 37). If there are two authors, both last names must be given. If there are more than two authors, give the last name of the first author with " et al., " for example, (Lefebvre et al., 1987, 67).

Any reference made to an author’s work in the text of the article must include the name, the date of publication, and the page, for example, (Tousignant, 1986, 45).

Tables and charts must be grouped at the end of the article, numbered with Arab numbers. Their place of insertion must be indicated in the text of the article. Legends for charts and titles of tables must be clearly indicated.

Footnotes must be kept to a minimum and listed together at the end of the article, on a separate page. They must not include tables or charts.

References are listed on a separate page at the end of the article, by alphabetical order of author. If there is more than one work by an author, they must be listed in chronological order starting with the most recent.

Eight copies of the article, including the original, must be submitted.

References

The journal asks authors to pay particular attention to format of references. If there are any questions, please communicate with the editors.

TITLE OF FRENCH-LANGUAGE BOOK One author : Family name of author, first initial, date of publication, title of book, publisher, city of publication. For example : Mannoni, O., 1982, Ça n’empêche pas d’exister, Seuil, Paris.

Two or more authors : Family name and first initial for each author. For example, GAUGELAC, V., BONETTI, M., FRAISSE, J.

TITLE OF ENGLISH-LANGUAGE BOOK Family name of author, first initial, date of publication (for exemple : BELLE, D., 1982, Lives in Stress : Women and Depression, Sage Publications, Beverly Hills.). S’il y a deux ou plusieurs auteur(e)s : suivre le modèle français.

Processus du traitement de l’article

Santé mentale au Québec fait parvenir un accusé dès la réception de l’article. Toutefois, un délai de trois à six mois peut s’écouler avant que le processus d’évaluation soit terminé. Les textes peuvent être soumis par la poste à l’adresse suivante : Santé mentale au Québec, C.P. 548, succ. Place d’Armes, Montréal, Qc., H2Y 3H3 ou par courriel : rsmq@videotron.ca.

Veuillez prendre note que si vous choisissez de soumettre votre article par voie postale, il faut envoyer six copies papier. Il n’est pas nécessaire de fournir ces copies papier si vous soumettez votre article par voie électronique. Pour toute question, n’hésitez pas à communiquer avec la direction.
